So how did it go? I’m excited to hear the results. I also wondered what your thoughts are on the current “running scared from the RIAA” thing going on in a certain segment of the Podcasting world. Whereas I don’t particularly miss Adam Curry’s mash-ups, I thought PW Fenton’s choice of music on Digital Flotsam was impeccable, and I can’t imagine it being as good with unfamiliar tracks - the reason I originally downloaded an episode of Digital Flotsam was because I noticed he had an episode entitled ‘The God Bless the Child edition.’ Incidentally, I was first drawn to your show when i noticed the ‘Wham of Sam’ in your shownotes. I’ve been wondering also if this will affect your show or if you already have permission to play the music you do. Anyway, I look forward to either hearing or reading your comments, and I’m a big fan of your podcast (and Fisher too - I saw you guys at Mountain Stage in 2001)!

The expo was cool - the results of which are now up on show 22. I’m not running scared from the MPAA and I think I will address that in a show soon. Meanwhile, tune in to tresjeffes.com for their Expo show. They did a great on the spot interview with a keynote speaker who was there to discuss copyright issues. The truth of the matter is nobody is going to care what I do until I get successful. My interpretation of the law is that I have as much right to play anything I want as any radio station does. If it comes down to it, I intend to challenge anybody who tries to change that. But the reality is I’ll need to find an advocate lawyer who will work pro bono.

    Hi there Cush

I first found out about the show from the bitterest pill and found your show riotous fun and a hard dose of realty. It reminded me of a episode of the Simpson’s where Marge is a traffic school and the cop says, “Rage is what makes America great but you must find the proper outlet for that rage. Fire a weapon at the TV . Pick on someone smaller than you or write a threatening letter to a celebrity so when you go out you’ll keep your murders rage at home where it belongs”
So if everybody thinks there right all the time then everybody who disagrees with you must be wrong and that’s how so people are these days

“I believe that every human mind feels pleasure in doing good to another.”
